Sassyback Tour 10-9-08

Its been a while since the actually concert but i figure i have to post something about it.

Line up!
Sing it Loud;
Hit the Lights;
Forever the Sickest Kids;
Cobra Starship

When we got there we thought there was going a problem for a minute because there was some confusion with the tickets. Luckily, we got the tickets because Megan brought her school ID.

We saw Mr. Caleb walking across the street from the troc. He had a pink bag in his hand for a some reason. Suddenly, he was mobbed by a group of girls wanting pictures and Megan and I felt a bit bad. In the end, we decided to go over to him for a picture. While waiting, a bird pooped on my head. That never happened to me before, and it couldn't have been at a more inopportune time. Megans brother got a napkin and helped me out though, so that was a relief. When Megan stepped up to get the picture, I told him it was her birthday. When I got my picture, he was eating a nerds rope and he was like 'hold up. its [important] that i eat this right now' haa. my pic shows him chewing, and is blurry, but hilarious. After that, he went across the street with an interviewer. This is the same interviewer who does a lot of good atl interviewss.

We when across the parking lot, and stood in the line. We were asked to form 4 rows within the line, but that fell to the waistside pretty quick. I noticed Brianna and Diana walking and called them over. They had a friend with them.
'Riddle Man' was there. He was sayin some prettyy funny yet horrible thingss... Then he started directing traffic. He tried to bend down and talk to someone, but they rolled up the windows.. ha.

We see J.Cook across the street and we dodged traffic to get a pic. Someone asked for me to take a picture for her, dunno who she was. I tripped and said 'SHIT' and J.Cook heard me and i felt really stupid. He looked up and directly at me. Them, he had to go so we never got a picture. He bumped into me when he tried to leave. Our group left, but several stayed for a pic. They almost got hit by a bus though.... J.Cook had to pull them out da way.

We saw Caleb again with his pink bag of mystery. People swarmed him again too, and they too almost got hit by a bus.

While waiting, we got some stickers and whatnot. Someone snapped a pic of my holding a 3OH!3 sticker when i din't expect it. Then the PETA guy we also saw at warped tour was handing out a petition. i mentioned how i was vegetarian. Some woman wheeled around a cart of candy. Kinda expensive thoughh

When we got in we walked directly to the merch and were served by a man with an accent.. After, we walked into the center of the crowd hoping to get close to the stage. Sing It Loud had an awesome set! But in between sets, things were shaken up and I felt my lungs closing on me. I had to get out. Hit the Lights just started playing when I began pushing right to get to the side lines. I only looked behind me once, and a boy asked me if I was okay. He seemed really nice. I couldn't answer though, so i just pressed on to the side. When there, I sat straight down against a wall. There was a bit of a cove next to us, so we went in there. Douche of a security guard was near there though. A mother told me to get out because I was oing to pass out, so me and Megan went to get some water. After, we pushed our way back and ftsk would start soon.

There was a boy that sat next to me in the little room right before ftsk. I think he felt bad for me, but i felt like an idiot.

ftsk played becky starz and men in black. Austin kept looking over at me in the little room and smiled or made faces, which was cool. I was glad and sang along. Jonathon saw me jumping about too. There wsas a tall ogre-ish man standing there, blocking 97% of my view though. They mentioned they would be at the merch table to meet the fans after the set.

After that, we headed over to the table to meet them. However, after quite the bit of waiting we left. We had to because Cobra was starting, and they were not there yet.

During cobra, we snuck into the side of the crowd, in front of an amp. Gabe was wearing a shirt that said something along the lines of 'i'm gabe saporata and i can do that' (something like that!??!?!?!?!?). memory is a bit fuzzy. Vicky and Gabe switched instruments and roles for a minute at one point. Gabe also climbed up on the amp and asked some guy for his drink. There was a woman in front of me who was at least in her mid 40s. Gabe occasionally mentioned latinos. After the set, the crowd cheered for one more song, and they came out some minutes later. They had different outfits and mentioned 'world of pleasure' (i think??). gabe had a suit and glasses that made me think of elvis costello. when they were done, they crowd had their fill. It was around 11 PM.

We stumbled about to get our ride. A bit numb and deaf, for sure. We saw a mouse scurring about. At least 3 guysasked for money.
THEN!
Just when we thought nothing else would happen, we noticed a short, white, blonde guy get off a bus with a guitar. I slowed down and remembered: Mke Birbiglia was playing a show at the trocadero the next night. So I say 'is that mike birbiglia?' and then megan goes 'is that mike birbiglia?' and then her brother goes 'YO MIKE BIRBIGLIA!' and he hurried across the streets of philly. Welcome.

We went to Wawa. I got an arizona green tea, which i enjoyed greatly. I found a PETA CD.


That was about it.

It was amazing.
